Mission
As the name suggests, our mission is to empower the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and their families through appropriate guidance, remedial intervention, home support programs and counseling.
About us
Empower is co-founded by Dr. Ekta G Kamal and Preeti Jain, both Special Educators and parents of children with special needs. As parent professionals, they are extremely passionate about providing high quality services to their students. They have worked as Special Educators in mainstream schools and continue to provide educational consultation in several schools in Bangalore. Both Ekta and Preeti are also Certified Handwriting Development Specialists (Handwriting Without Tears, USA) and Certified Early Language and communication development professionals using Hanen strategies (The Hanen Institute).
Dr Ekta G Kamal
Co-Founder
Dr. Ekta is a qualified dentist, with a vast experience working in the field of Dentistry. She went on to do her Diploma in Specific Learning Disabilities and a Certificate course in Autism from KPAMRC. She also holds a MA in Inclusive Education and Special Educational Needs from Northampton University, UK. In addition, she is a certified mental health counselor and an Art Therapy practioner.
Preeti Jain
Co-Founder
Preeti holds a Bachelors in Engineering (Computer Science), having a vast experience working for IT firms, both in India and abroad. She has also imparted training programs for corporates. She went on to do her Diploma in Specific Learning Disabilities and a Certificate course in Autism from KPAMRC.
